Superfood Green Salad
When you put superfoods together it takes your salad game to the next level. For a great tasting, high energy and filling lunch, try this Superfood Green Salad.
As if I don’t mention salads enough on here… I have another awesome, fresh and so tasty salad for you to try, superfood green salad.
Superfoods can be a variety of different foods like berries, grains, etc. I love combining different combinations of them to create a balanced plate/meal.
I’ve said this before – “when your plate looks so pretty the food tastes so much better”. What do you think? Does anyone agree with me on that one? Haha. I always find the more colourful and pretty my plate looks, the more I enjoy what’s on it.
HOW TO COMBINE SUPERFOODS
Nuts, berries, fish, and more.
From dark leafy greens to fish and healthy fats, a combination of them all makes for a very healthy meal. A great way to combine superfoods is with a salad.Â
I personally think that a salad is the best way to combine them all. Salads are such an easy way to get everything together in one dish and having such a combination you get some amazing flavours.Â
You can add other superfoods to this dish like beans or berries which I mention in the add-pon options below.Â
WHAT SUPERFOODS I USED FOR THIS RECIPE:
- Avocado
- QuinoaÂ
- Dark Leafy Greens
I also used chicken, cherry tomatoes, lime, sea salt and pepper, red bell peppers, black olives and green onion.
Not only does this salad look pretty but it also is a healthy balanced lunch. Typically I have chicken already meal prepped so prep time for this recipe isn’t much at all!
Healthy and balanced in one dish. That’s how I roll. Avocado is a must with this salad, its creamy texture adds to the crunch of the greens.Â
It doesn’t get much better than combining complex carbs, veggies {lots of them}, and protein!
When trying to save time, I always have these Uncle Bens Bistro Express pouches on hand. Toss them in the microwave for a few minutes and you have a great side dish!
