Once I thought I needed to a “six-pack abs” to look and feel healthy until I started on my own journey! Having a healthy lifestyle is about feeling healthy, being energized and living life.

One thing I’ve come to learn is that if I want a six-pack of abs I have to work for it #duh. However, I am going to continue enjoying my treats because having a healthy lifestyle for me is about living life, enjoying treats and feeling my best. 


I mean it’s true, abs are made in the kitchen. I’ve told you already about my 80/20 balance and that balance sure as heck isn’t gonna get me a six-pack, but it totally suits my lifestyle for right now.


A healthy diet is a huge factor when it comes to achieving abs.

There was a time where I’d go to the gym for about 2 hours a day. I worked out my core every day, along with other exercises and cardio… but I never saw any results in my core.

WHY? Because before I learned the 80/20 balance, my nutrition was more of 20/80 {20% good, 80% NOT so good}. That was back in my university days. Not to mention that I went to the gym more so to socialize… oops. Yes, socialize.

When I learned that fuelling my body with the right foods to give me energy, foods that would help burn fat, I started to see the changes I was looking for. But, it took online research and finding a home program that worked for me. Lesson learned, “diet” {I hate that word} plays a huge role. 


A healthy balanced diet is one that consists of vegetables, whole grains, and healthy fats.

I figured out everything I know about nutrition through an online community of individuals all working towards similar health and wellness goals. I was tired of working so hard and not seeing any results on my own.

When I turned to this online community, that’s where things changed for me. I found something that worked at home. Something that didn’t cost me an arm or leg and a program that GAVE me RESULTS and flexibility when it came to my nutrition.

At first, when I saw the nutrition program, I thought to myself, how do I do this on my own? How do I figure out what to eat? How do I make this work?

EASY, the online community helped me in every way, I had my own nutritionist right in front of me, available online, whenever I needed her. She has changed my relationship with food and has gotten me into the best shape, while still following my 80/20 balance.

Since I started this journey back in 2015, I haven’t looked back. Home workouts and nutrition have had such a positive impact on my healthy lifestyle.

I am so thankful these programs came into my life just when I needed them. I’ve gained a lot of knowledge on nutrition, what it means to FUEL my body and I am so thankful I can still have my treats.

Again, if I wanted six-pack abs, I could… but, this balance is working just fine. I am happy, healthy and feeling the best I have ever felt in YEARS!!
