Master Bedroom Inspiration

The master bedroom, where the magic happens; give your room a warm, cozy and romantic feeling, the way the master bedroom should feel!

One thing I know for sure is that I can thank Pinterest for helping me with my home décor inspirations, especially when it came to our master bedroom.

DECORATING YOUR MASTER BEDROOM

Get inspired with ideas you see online; use your creativity

I wanted our master bedroom to be warm, cozy and welcoming. I mean let’s face it, it’s where we spend most of our time, so why not make it one of the best and coziest rooms in the house!

Ashley Furniture

I remember when my husband and I were searching for our bedroom set, we spent hours doing so, and finally we found a set that we both agreed on. Our bedroom set is from Ashley Furniture

We took a risk just by going with how it looked online and the reviews. I was nervous and hesitant, but I went with it and I AM SO glad that I did! I LOVE IT.

When I started looking for bedding, I knew I wanted to do white. I am so glad I went with white, you can get coloured sheets to change out with each season to add some brightness. Nothing looks more crisp, cozy and clean like white on white.

Gluckstein Home

Gluckstein Home is the bedding I went with. The duvet is reversible with a pattern. It makes the room so bright and I found some accent quilts that were on double clearance and pillow covers in the perfect tones to pull the colours together by Calvin Klein.

Wayfair

When it came to nightstand lighting, I knew I wanted tall and large lamps. I just had this vision in my head. I started my search on Wayfair {link to similar style} and I fell in love with these!

I loved the rustic gold, which ties into the buttons that are on our headboard so well bringing all the tones together. Listen to me, talking like I know what I am talking about when it comes to décor, I have no clue. Again, Pinterest and trusting my own gut, ha!

Homesense

Homesense is definitely my favourite store to shop for home décor. From wall art, furniture pieces and more, they have it all. I tend to shop around at more than one HomeSense store when I am in the city because with every shop I find something different.

CHOOSING A COLOUR SCHEME

Choose tones that are relaxing and calming

We went with a light colour grey called thunder by Benjamin Moore and hail navy for a feature wall. In choosing our colours I wanted a similar colour scheme throughout our entire home. Walking into our bedroom it feels so welcoming and totally sets the mood to relax and destress.

You can do whatever colours you want, but personally neutral is what we enjoy the most. Popular colours include blues and varying shades of gray.

At the end of the day, where you lay your head to destress should be a calming, happy and relaxing atmosphere.
