Sweet Apple Muffins
Sweet apple muffins make a perfect breakfast or snack. Sweetened with apple sauce, a little sugar, and spiced with cinnamon these are a perfect moist muffin.
I love having apple trees right in our backyard! Going out and picking fresh apples from the tree with the kids is one of my favorite fall activities to do, and of course, make some sweet apple muffins.
Fall is my favorite time of year. The cozy feel, the comfort foods, and the taste, the smell of fall, I love it all! What’s not to love about fall?
WHAT GOES IN SWEET APPLE MUFFINS
- Flour
- Baking soda
- Baking powder
- Sea salt
- Cinnamon
- Butter
- White granulated sugar
- Packed brown sugar
- Large eggs
- Unsweetened apple sauce
- Finely chopped apple
HOW TO MAKE SWEET APPLE MUFFINS
- Preheat the oven to 350F.
- In a small mixing bowl mix together flour, baking powder and soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- In a medium to a large size mixing bowl, beat together using a mixer, butter, and sugar until well combined.
- Beat in eggs, followed by mixing in the apple sauce.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until combined.
- Fold in the chopped apple.
- Line a muffin tin with liners. Fill each muffin tin to 3/4 full.
- Bake for 18 minutes.
- Remove from oven, let cool for 10 minutes.
HOW TO STORE APPLE MUFFINS
You can store sweet apple muffins in an airtight container on the counter for 3-4 days (they won’t last that long) or you can freeze them. Wrap them individually in press n seal, add to a freezer safe bag and freeze for best freshness for up to 3 months.

- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp sea salt
- 1 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/4 cup white granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup unsweetened apple sauce
- 1 cup finely chopped apple
