INGREDIENT NOTES

  • Green Tea: you will need 6 green tea bags for this recipe. You will need to steep the tea for a minimum of 2 hours. This will enhance the flavor of the tea but also allow for the tea to cool down before mixing it with the remaining ingredients.
  • Boiling Water: to steep the tea you will need boiling water.
  • Filtered Water: filtered water is also added here for this pitcher beverage.
  • Honey: to sweeten up this iced green tea, honey is a great way to do so to keep this recipe low in calories and sugar by sweetening this beverage naturally.

  • Lemon: to balance out the strong steeped green tea and sweetness from the honey, we will be adding one large lemon, juice only.
  • Lime: this lemon honey iced green tea also calls for one fresh lime, juice only. The combination of lemon and lime helps balance out all of the flavors of the tea.
  • Fresh Mint: adding fresh mint to this recipe adds another level of spice. The mint totally sets the taste buds off in combination with the sweetness of the honey.

RECIPE NOTES

Here are some very useful and helpful tools when it comes to making honey mint iced green tea.

  • Glass Pitcher: with a lid and dispenser will work best. I like this style with a lid best because I like to keep this drink stored in my fridge for a quick afternoon pick-me-up.
  • Green Tea: you can use any brand that you like or have on hand.
  • Mason Jars: to make this drink extra “fun” I like to serve mine in mason jars.
